Scott fights the unnecessary County Council cuts. Scott continues to fight ludicrous cuts that leave accident blackspots permanently covered by Speed Cameras and leaves communities in darkness following the turning off of Speed Cameras and Street Lights.
Scott and Local Lib Dems are supporting Towcester Residents Unite(TRU) a non party camapign to prevent the relocation of South Northants Council's offices from there current location on Springfields to the new regeneration project on Moat Lane in Towcester. "Having attended the public meeting in the Town Hall and received many emails it is a disgrace that South Northants Council has failed to listen to residents concerns".
After five years of inspections, Northampton Borough Council is out of government monitoring. In a letter received on the 21st December, the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) confirmed that the government had wrapped up its monitoring of Guildhall performance. Lib Dem-run Northampton Borough Council has ‘transformed’ the way it works according to government spending watchdog, the Audit Commission.
